Who doesn't love a sale? Especially when it's shoes?!! A couple weeks ago, Palais Royal had an awesome sale. Buy one, get one for $1.00. I needed shoes. and I couldn't decide on the Sketcher'sTone-ups, or the Nike's, so, I got both. Sketchers=$80. Nike=$60. Total combined price during sale=$75. How perfect?!
Now I keep the Sketchers at work when we walk daily, the Nike's for the gym, and then my old grungie ones at home, for yard work.

DIY - Beaded Jewelry Shirt
Love DIY's. I got this idea here: Love Maegan.
Hope it wears as cute as it looks... I started out with a plain white shirt, and then I added beads to the collar to spice it up. I plan to add more beads to the arms as well, just haven't gotten around to it.

Mockingjay
This week I am linking up today with Heather from Blonde... Undercover Blonde for Friday's Book Club.
I finally finished the trilogy of The Hunger Games, just in time for the movie to premier today!!! Not excited, not excited at all...
The first 60 or so pages are rather long and boring. I believe it took me near a month to read just that part. Once I got past the first 60 pages, it took me only a couple days to read the next 300. AH the suspense.
The Mockingjay has a lot of twists and turns, surprises and moments of sadness. It will be hard to put this book down even for a potty break.
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena alive, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what's worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss's family, not her friends, not the people of District 12.
and of course, I have a few favorite quotes from the book:
"Our ancestors don't seem much to brag about. I mean, look at the state they left us in, with the wars and the broken planet. Clearly, they didn't care about what would happen to the people who came after them."
"Better not to give in to it. It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart."
"But collective thinking is usually short-lived. We're fickle, stupid beings with poor memories and a great gift for self-destruction."

6 months
6 months and some days ago my beautiful baby niece was born. I can't believe she is already 6 months old (well, as of the 9th. I'm a little late on posting this) The day before she was 6 months old, she was sitting up all on her own. Love her milestones.

Tattoosday
I have two tattoos currently, and whenever I hear 'Tattoos are addicting' trust that anyone that says that is right. I'm currently on the lookout for a new one(s) and it's a hard decision really. My first two were easy, because originally, I just got a star. A Star symbolizes a lot for me, so it was easy. Then I got bored with JUST a star and found a cute design to add to it. Easy peasy. Now I have to find a new location for one, and a design. Do I get it on my shoulder blade, my ankle, my foot, my hip? so many decisions.
This is what I currently have:
Thanks to Tattoo Johnny I have even more choices than ever to pick from.

Beef Enchiladas
Decided to Stop and Smell the Roses, and link up with Lovely Little Things this monday and share a new recipe.
Yummy! For dinner yesterday, I decided to cook beef enchiladas, which I learned from my sister-in-law. It's so simple really. and super delish.
1 lb. Hamburger meat
Enchilada package mix
1 can tomato sauce
cheese
tortillas
Cook the enchilada package mix according to directions on package. Ground hamburger meat. Mix 1/2 of the sauce with the meat. Spread a little sauce on tortilla, place meat and cheese on tortilla, wrap. Pour more sauce and cheese on top of the enchiladas. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Perfecto!

Target Tuesday
This week is all about jewelry. Although I don't wear earrings, I do have some that I would love to get.
