What a week!

What a week it has been!  I won't get into the details because it would just bore you, or make you have sympathy for me, or whatever the reason, and none of those I want.  But I feel like I just have to get this down, in writing.  In the past 5 days, my emotions have been on some roller coaster.  There have been ups and downs, twists and turns, out of the blue surprises and news. I'm sitting here today, trying to figure out how to react to everything that has happened to me this week. The news, the surprises, the stupid choices I've made, the good feelings I have along with the sad feelings as well, as well as confused because... gosh.  It has been crazy.

I will say this- The boy and I, are no longer.  After my quick rush to the dr. and checkout, my heart is completely healthy. And, I got a do-over from an event that happened 11 years ago, that didn't turn out so well the first time.  And this time, it was awesome.

50 Shades of Grey

This week I am linking up today with Heather from Blonde... Undercover Blonde for Friday's Book Club.

Last week, searching for a book to read, several of my co-workers and I were discussing an up and coming popular book that is getting a lot of hype.  My curiosity peaked.

According to Amazon:
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

When reading the synopsis, I still had no idea what this book was really about.  I believe, if books can be rated ‘X’ this would classify.  Or at least, rated R for Sexual Conduct.  But, with all that said, it was a quick, easy read and it kept me wanting to read more and see what’s about to happen next.  While reading it, I imagined that the Christian Grey was Sam Page.   It made the book even more enjoyable to visualize with this hottie ;)   The ending definitely got me hooked, and I can't wait to jump into the 2nd book of this trilogy to see what's going to happen next.

My rating: A+ for this.

Oh- and I also found out, 2 days after I’m reading the book, they are going to turn this into a movie!!!  Possibly considering casting Damian from Vampire Diaries as Christian Grey.  That will work for me too.  Enjoy!!

How do you eat your Oreos?

Last night as I was lounging on the couch eating oreos, I realized I have a certain habit when I do so.  Made me wonder, How do you eat your oreos?

I prefer the double-stuffed of course.  and this is what I do:  I take the top of an oreo off, dunk part of it (the one without the cream on it) into some milk, and eat it.  then I do this with my 2nd oreo as well.  Then, I take the two remaining bottom parts, both with the cream on them, and put them together to make a quadruple-stuffed oreo.  I make 2-3 quadruple-stuffed oreos, adn then I eat those 2-3 cookies and then I am done with my snack.  Anymore than 2 or 3 (which is really 4 or 6 cookies total) and I'm miserable.

DIY- Onesie

I haven't been able to show this off until after the momma had her wonderful shower.

My BFF had a baby shower this weekend for her gorgeous baby girl and, if anyone knows her, you know her favorite movie.
I made this adorable onesie for baby to wear in honor of Patrick Swayze.  Unfortunately, my printer was having issues so the solid color didn't come out on the wordings, so it's only an outline, but I still think it works.
Only after I made the butt ruffles did I notice they already had these pre-made at Hobby Lobby.  I'll have to remember that for next time.

Check it:

Prison-City, Texas

I just learned that CMT is going to host two new reality shows, one of them is called "Trinity 911" and this is what they say about the show.

"CMT takes a look at the on and off-duty antics of the most colorful police department in Texas in the new 10-episode workplace docu-comedy, TRINITY 911. The officers in tiny Trinity, Texas (population 2,656) may not have the world’s highest crime rate to contend with, but keeping their small town safe from danger is a full-time job for this fun-loving crew. TRINITY 911 is produced by Endemol USA."

Trinity, Tx is right outside of the prison-city I've been living in for the last 9 years. Everyone that lives there works in my town, or doesn't work at all. Trinity is known for two things- Meth and no teeth (although maybe it really is one thing, as people who do meth have no teeth). Most people from there, I know, are missing teeth. Most people are meth-heads. It is also known as one of the top meth cities in Texas- surprising considering the city is next to the prison-city of Texas. (by prison-city, I mean we have 8 prisons in this own town, and it is where the Prison's headquarters are located).

I'm curious about this show, and me and my friend (who is a pro at going to jail, not that I'm bragging...) are already plotting ways to get arrested and be on CMT, so watch for us!!! I think this is going to be another way to make East Texas look more hillbilly than it really is.

There have been several movies/shows that have been filmed from my town already- "Dazed and Confused" which is actually based off of a lot of friend's parents I know, and even my boss, "The Life of David Gale" and "The Bachelor" with Brad Womack, the first time he was on the show (well, this one was filmed in a small city next to this town) but still, they like to make us look a LOT worse than we really are. This is going to be fun to watch I'm sure.

Did you realize?

I want to apologize in advance- and after the fact- for being a picture whore. I've realized that almost every one of my posts contains at least one picture to go along with it.

Ok I take that back, I don't apologize. I am a picture whore. I take daily pictures of useless stuff, just because I can't help myself. In the future, expect more pictures with posts. :)

Also, enjoy this picture-free lame-o post.

Sad Day

Ever have something that makes you feel, different? Free? Unique? Un-like your character? I did, once. I bought a motorcycle on the spur of the moment, and found it to be amazingly thrilling whenever I rode it. But, I made a deal with my mom once so I had to stop riding it. My brother and dad swung by my place to pick it up because my brother could sell trees to a logger, and I was having trouble selling the bike on my own (not that I really tried too much either). It was sad watching them load up.

RIP, Gretchen.
