A to Z of Me

I got this list from Lindsey at Lidnsey and Wildfllowers and thought 'What a GREAT way to let you learn a few tidbits about me!'

so, here are the A-Z's of me.:

A. Age: 27.  I feel old. :/
B. Bed size: KING.  it's huge, but yet crowded with my furbabies
C. Chore that you hate: I hate doing dishes. I love cooking, but I just hate cleaning up after that.
D. Dogs: love them. I have 3.  Pitbull, Rat Terrier and Beagle.
E. Essential start to your day: well- first I pee. ha.  Can't get started without that.  then I must apply chapstick.
F. Favorite color: Clear.  or camo. :)  really anything.
G. Gold or Silver: Silver for sure, but Gold looks so classy, although Gold doesn't look so good on me
H. Height: 5'3. boo ha
I. Instruments you play: telling my nerdness here. I played the French horn for 7 years until I finished High school. and the Mellophone (marching French horn).  but that's it.
J. Job title:  Buyer.  yup. i get paid, to buy things.
K. Kids: none for me. thanks.  Just kidding. I want 3.  2 of my own, and 1 adopted.  I think there are too many unloved kids that need good homes, and someone to love them, for me not to take one of them home.
L. Live: live- near Houston, Texas.  maybe about an hour north of it actually.
M. Mother’s name: Mommy.
N. Nicknames: Jules.  pretty boring isn't it??!!  I need a better one. Who can help?
O. Overnight hospital stays:When I was about 2 or 3, Mom says I stayed overnight for pneumonia, but I don't remember.  There's one picture of it to tell the truths.  Other than that, no more.... yet.  YAY
Q. Quote from a movie: "Easy, Windmill." "She lived." both from Hope Floats :)   You probably had to have been there
R. Right or left handed: Both actually. I write right handed, and play sports right handed.  I eat, and do everything else with my left.  but I can switch and do them with the opposite hands.
S. Siblings: 1 brother, and 1 sister (in-law)
U. Underwear: um- Yes, I wear them. sometimes. ;)  I buy mine from Victoria's Secret when they have the 7 for $25 sale.
V. Vegetable you hate: All of them.  Never did like eating healthy.
W. What makes you run late: Sleep usually. I live 10 minutes from work, have to be there at 8, and leave my house at 7:55 every day.  Even when I wake up earlier... weird.
X. X-Rays you’ve had: My foot in 5th grade when I broke it in softball, my back when I was 19 after I dislocated a disc lifting too  much weights, my neck when I was 24 when I caused a disc to shift when I hit my head in a rock
Y. Yummy food that you make:All of it! ok- chicken Parmesan is my specialty.  no doubt.  I also cook yummy roast, and pork chops, and DESSERT.
Z. Zoo animal: I love the monkeys, penguins, and elephants the best.  I want to own all of these one day.  I have a big bathtub for the penguin :)

Healthy Menu for the week

I came across this one time in Boot Camp Video I ordered online (and never even attempted to do HA!) but inside the package it had an Eating Healthy Guide, and I took what it said and broke it down to my likes. I wish I had saved the list but I'm afraid I can't find it anywhere. I thought I would share this if you are interested. This is a new schedule I plan to stick with (doubtful though) to meet my goal for the month of October. btw- I know Sunday isn't on here, but I don't know why, so don't ask, k? k. :)

Summer Vacation

Michael from Writing Art and Design is doing a piece on summer vacations.  and I really wanted to join this so I can share my experiences on my once in a lifetime trip.

Summer vacations? Those are for teachers, and students, but not your average person who is forced to work 40 + hours a week!! However, I do find time for vacations other times in the year, which I prefer as I don't have to worry about so many whiney jr. high and high school kids trying to tour and look at the same things I want to check out. I don't travel often, but would love to so much! I love it. got my passport last year, and now I have 9 more years to put it to use and make it worth having!!!

I took a trip in Oct. 2010 (wow- has it really been a whole year ago?!) to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. What a Great experience! Met a great friend in Au and she even came back to America for a vacation and just this past Sunday night I had the privelege of hanging out with her the night before she flew back home. We went bowling. I lost. :(

Australia is gorgeous. The food servings were about 1/4 of that in America, which explains why I didn't see but maybe 2? fat people. yea. And the corporate offices have gyms, and on their 2 hour lunch breaks, the employees go out for a run- together. They were training for a triatholon event to compete against each other while I was there. That was neat to watch hundreds of people running on their lunch breaks around the Opera House. What a view! Went diving in the ocean. it was all of 45 degrees, so can we say freezing?! Had an Aussie Barbie with the dive instructors and some new friends. Walked around the city, took 1000 photos. Hiked down a mountain.

New Zealand is perfect. Magnifico. Beautiful, cool air. Wide open spaces. Went on a Lord of the Rings tour and learned all about the making of the film (which totally was not of interest to me, but the view was unbelievable). Our tour guide's name is Hammond Peek (he's on IMDB), he actually did some of the music and whatnot for the movies, along with other movies too. Met some new friends there. Met some famous bands there too.

Fiji was awful. Rude. dirty. Smelly. Ugly. nothing is open on Sundays. Not impressed to say the least.

Enjoy eating out, but don't like paying for it?

I decided to do something a little different, 'special' for you guys. It does take a little bit of time, but to me, I find it worth it. I am a Mystery Shopper. (If you work at a local business, shhhh!!!!!!) I like to eat, but I hate spending $5 or more on a meal. call me cheap, I don't care. I signed up my first year of college in 2002 (wow- it's really been THAT long?!) for one website that I had to pay like, $20 for the year or something like that. I was a newbie, and $20 a year didn't seem like much. What I found out is this particular website I signed up for had other mystery shopping vendors contact me through this so I could request specific 'jobs' and whatnot. I wrote down that mystery shopping's webpage, and the next year cancelled my membership. Through many researches, I found out you should NEVER EVER pay to be a mystery shopper. Why you may ask? Because there are too many free ones out there that it's not worth your money.

Typically, I assign myself to a local wing store in town, McDonalds, sonic, and Denny's. Used to Mr. Gatti's every month, but they closed down :( It's undercover. They don't know you are doing this. You initially pay out of pocket to eat there, then you report your results to the website, and they write you a check for what you spent (Up to a certain amount) +$5 or so, for doing the job. so I go to Sonic, spend $5, and make $10 total.

I keep a spreadsheet of all the sites that I check regularly with my passwords. I am going to share with you those sites (THAT ARE FREE) in case you are interested.

These are the ones I use the most often:
evaluator2.second-to-none.com
Food
Gas stations
Food
Food
strategicreflections.com
Food

I'll probably add more on here if anyone is interested.
